Look to Your Past and Grow Bold!
The Three Catalysts for Courage Discussed on the San IT Project Podcast
There is a conventional thought that says, don’t look back, keep your eyes focused forward and on your dreams. However, there are times when we doubt our abilities and that our goals seem out of reach. In these times, looking back at our past accomplishments can bolster our self-confidence and even give us ideas on how to overcome our current obstacles. In this way, we build faith in ourselves.
In writing Growing Bold, I had to look back to my past, both my successes and failures. I was suddenly doing things that had been out of the realm of my imagination and I wanted to uncover what had transpired in my life to allow that. I looked back at what I’d accomplished, how my thinking had changed, and what drove me to work toward my goals. What I discovered were the three Catalyst for Courage–Setting a Meaningful Goal, Shifting Your Perspectives, and Building Self Confidence.
A couple of months ago, Joanne Victoria, host of San IT Project Podcast, interviewed me. I had the opportunity to discuss these three catalysts and some practical ways to use them to help you build self-confidence, overcome your fears, and live the life you love.
